The second floor of the Mecure Hotel saw Tassie’s LOTR gamers descend into battle to decide the fate of the ring of power. 12 people turned up this year, much more than last years attendance of 4 showing a lot of us there are a few gamers in Tassie for this system.

All armies were painted to a good standard with only 1 or 2 unpainted figures in the entire tournament, which was good to see. Some of the armies that stood out were Matthew Fyfe’s Dwarf army, which took out best painted, (Thomas Bearman’s Rohan/Woses army - Ed), and finally Patrick Oxbrough’s Dwarf army were some of them.
There were also some rare choices for armies under all the Dwarfs and elves. Including John Dewis’ Army of the dead allied with Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli. Another one was Jacklyn Bradley with her spider and warg army. Its hard warriors with 2 wounds or more won her Best general and and best overall.

All players showed great sportsmanship and the amount of rules disputes were few in number. Jacklyn Bradley took top spot while Joshua Cure close behind coming 2nd place. Richard Taylor came 3rd place.

Overall a great weekend and we hope we will se even more people next year.
